I ran the half-marathon in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival Half Marathon 2012 and raised much needed funds for the Cancer Council of NSW. It isn't too late to make your donation, this page will stay active until March 2013.

This year I ran in honour of my late brave friend Barbara Donnelly, who died in February of ovarian cancer just a year after being diagnosed. Ovarian cancer is a terrible disease with vague symptoms like abdominal bloating that mimic other diseases, so all too often it is not diagnosed until quite advanced.
 

I’d really appreciate your support to help fund research towards screening tests that will help with early diagnosis and better treatment of this awful disease. It will mean so much to me and to all the amazing women in my life, including my daughter Lisa and mother Olwyn pictured with me here.
